We're happy to announce the hosting of a special hands-on Bike Repair and Maintenance workshop this winter! This is a great opportunity to shore up skills and knowledge that could make a big difference in the outcome of a sunny July afternoon in the future when you are faced with the attack of bike gremlins (invisible monsters who sneak up and do things like puncture your tire or break your chain)! Two classes will be offered, basic and advanced, and you may choose one or both.
Here's the important stuff:
- Date: Sunday, February 5th.
- Classes/Times: 1) Basic Skills: Emergency Repairs & At-home Tune-ups 9:30-12:30 & 2) Advanced Skills: Major Repairs and Overhauls 14:00-17:00
- Instructor: Bike Guru Chris White (Head Mechanic at The Bike in Lausanne and technical advisor to the Bike Switzerland tour company)
- Format: All procedures will be clearly explained and demonstrated, and questions answered. You will have the opportunity to perform many of the main tasks yourself.
- Materials: Participants will receive a booklet containing brief descriptions of all tasks, which will also tell you where to look for more detailed information.
- Cost: Single Class is 75 CHF. Both Classes for 140 CHF. Coffee & snacks included -- bring a lunch if staying the full day. There is an 8-person class size limit. Bring a friend, because if we reach 8 people, the price drops to 60 CHF for a single class and 100 CHF for the full day! Email Jeff by Feb. 1st to sign up!
- Location: Hillseeker Performance Lab, Richterswil
- Free Bonus: Coach Jeff will host a 45-min cycling-themed workout during the lunch break for all interested participants..
